Just stay away from Washington Square Park:
@NYPD has given up #WashingtonSquarePark - now overrun with bicycles skateboarders and scooters. I saw a women hit by a bicycle. I yelled, rider yelled back & returned 130 secs later with 3 additional kids on bikes to fight. Thanks @NYCMayorsOffice for letting the city go to crap— andrew corn (@acornnyc) November 3, 2018
Wow, pre-Giuliani Washington Square Park would have made his head explode.
Speaking of having your mind blown, I was disembarking from the subway at 242nd Street this past weekend when I was greeted by my own likeness on an anti-bike lane flyer!
It's not surprising they have "not heard any complaints" about the Broadway redesign in the Bronx because it's an improvement all across the board.
As for the "Broadway Community Alliance," that appears to be a pseudonym for Laura Spalter, a CB8 member who blamed the 12 people who have been killed on Broadway since 2010 for their own deaths at one meeting about the project.
Jerome Jeffery, 38, of Van Nostrand Avenue, Jersey City, was curbed by a New York State trooper in the vicinity of the Clove Road exit on the Staten Island Expressway westbound at about 4:10 p.m. on Wednesday, according to the criminal complaint.
The trooper pulled the suspect over for allegedly being the only person in his vehicle in the carpool lane.
Jeffery allegedly then showed a fake New York City Police Department identification card with a photo of the himself, a shield number and the name “Jerome Woods."
“I work in the transit division,” Jeffery allegedly told the trooper, according to the complaint.
Time to invest in a mannequin.
And speaking of Marty Golden, another local elected official has accrued an impressive number of school zone speed camera violations:
EXCLUSIVE: Cameras caught Jumaane Williams's car speeding in school zones 18 times since 2016. The cameras are automated, the violations undisputed —but for some reason @JumaaneWilliams calls it a political attack. By who? The cameras? https://t.co/sqsbBdFLaj— Errol Louis (@errollouis) November 4, 2018
Sounds like the work of some kind of "alliance."
