Pedal to Preserve Pelham Bay ParkEnvironmental and biking organizations from 5 boroughs are joining together to gain much needed attention for NYC's biggest park - Pelham Bay - home to wild turkeys, terrapin turtles and a 400 year old White Oak tree. Join the East Coast Greenway Alliance, Time's Up New York and T.A. for a 25-mile one-way bicycle ride along existing and proposed portions of the East Coast Greenway in Manhattan and the Bronx. Upon arrival at the Liberty Memorial in Pelham Bay, we will be working with WildMetro to clear out trash and invasive species and learn about the nature of the park. Start: August 30, 2009 - 9:00am
