Neighborhood Streets Network Now 100 Groups Strong

This spring, the Neighborhood Streets Network welcomed its 100th member. The Network is a city-wide coalition of block associations, civic groups and business groups working to calm traffic and reduce its effects on their neighborhoods. The Network has won a number of important victories, including the installation of more than 50 speed humps for Network groups, and the September 1999 passage of the NYC Traffic Calming Law.

If you know a group that should be a part of the Network, please contact staff liaison Neel Scott at 212-629-8080, or by email at ped@transalt.org.
