Winter 2002, p.6 DOT Constructs Long Awaited Sunset Park Connector
At the end of 2001, the NYC DOT Bike Program constructed four new bicycle lanes, including the Sunset Park Connector in Brooklyn. The DOT originally proposed the Sunset Park Connector in 1997, but it met opposition from the community. Thanks to DOT Commissioner Weinshall and Bicycle Program Director Andrew Vesselinovitch for overseeing the completion of these bike lanes connecting Prospect Park and the Shore Parkway Greenway.
