Commentary
The moment has come to ban car alarms in New York City. A new report by Transportation Alternatives overwhelmingly demonstrates that the alarms do not stop thieves, but do shatter the peace of mind and disrupt sleep for millions of New Yorkers. The report also demonstrates that a new generation of affordable, non-audible, pager style alarms, which bother only the vehicle owner, are now available at a reasonable price.
Key Findings of Report
Alarms don't work
