Here are the latest dispatches from the congestion pricing battle:Assemblyman Richard Brodsky, who has not been shy about sharing his criticism of the mayor's plan, released a 26-page report that deemed it anti-middle class and unlikely to reduce traffic.Several supporters of the mayor's proposal came to its defense, including:- Manhattan Borough President Scott Stringer (Brodsky's former legislative colleague), who pannedthe Westchester County lawmaker's report as "narrow."- The Drum Major Institute, which cited its own report that concluded the exact opposite of Brodsky's study.- The Campaign for New York's Future.- Transportation Alternatives.Bloomberg himself dismissed Brodsky's report as "just a piece of paper." He later delivered a speech to the New York Building Congress, asking members to "call your Assembly members" to "tell them we need this."And last, but not least, a new congestion pricing alternative bill has been proposed in the Assembly, this time by Democrat Rory Lancman, of Queens.
