Bike to Work Week
Read the latest
information on this
subject.
From May 15 to 19, thousands of
New York City cyclists rode to work in celebration of Bike to Work Week. T.A.
sponsored several events and convinced many city officials to ride to work.
Manhattan Borough President
Ruth Messinger and Bronx Borough President Fernando Ferrer both cycled to work,
and Council Members Tom Duane and Kathryn Freed joined T.A. for the public
officials' bike ride.
Staten Island Borough President
Guy Molinari and Brooklyn Borough President Howard Golden both sponsored
breakfasts. And as he does most days, City DOT Commissioner Elliot Sander
pedaled to work.
T.A. would like to thank those
who made Bike To Work Week 1995 a success:
- Bronx Borough President
Fernando Ferrer
- Brooklyn Borough President
Howard Golden
- Manhattan Borough President
Ruth Messinger
- Staten Island Borough
President Guy Molinari
- The Port Authority of New
York and New Jersey
- Toga Bike Shop
- All the volunteers who
produced materials, served food at the breakfasts, and helped get the word
out about Bike To Work Week.
