A report being released Wednesday finds many city employees are abusing their parking perks and leaving cars wherever it's convenient downtown.
According to the Daily News, streets around City Hall and Chinatown are being clogged with illegally parked cars.
A study by the "Transportation Alternatives" watchdog group shows they're blocking hydrants, making deliveries difficult and hogging sidewalk space.
City Council members are holding a news conference Wednesday to address the issue, along with residents and business owners who want an immediate investigation into parking permit abuse.
On the day of the random sampling, Transportation Alternatives researchers found that between the hour of 9 and 10 in the morning, 115 cars were parked illegally in the area between Canal Street, Brooklyn Bridge, Centre Street and the Bowery.
