Some particularly egalitarian New Yorkers are fed up with special people abusing their special privileges. Specifically, Transportation Alternatives has launched a new website that will post civilian-snapped photos of illegally parked government-issued cars or cars with NYPD placards. With your help, they hope to bring status-symbol abusers to justice.

Back in 2004, television news crews caught Deputy Mayor Carol Robles-Roman using her emergency lights and sirens just because she tired of sitting in traffic (in other words, sans emergency). Bloomberg quickly took action, taking away the vehicle emergency lights and sirens of more than 250 city officials.
