Contact Your Government Representatives
Transportation
Alternatives provides these government addresses as a public service.
We encourage you to contact your public servants with your concerns about
transportation issues. Many public servants are reachable by telephone,
e-mail, or fax. Please remember, however, that a neatly typewritten, stamped,
mailed letter will generally be given the greatest consideration by most
recipients. A fax is considered of secondary importance, and telephone
calls or e-mail are usually regarded lowest. Of course, any of these approaches
is better than doing nothing. If you would prefer to use e-mail,
the city provides an online form-based e-mail system for reaching city
officials in the Mayor's administration: nyc.gov/html/mail/html/email.html.
We are always
glad to assist members with information on how to contact your public
servants. Just call our office at 212-629-8080. Finally, don't forget
to cc: a copy to our office.
