Campaign History

Morningside Avenue is a central thoroughfare through Harlem and Morningside Heights that connects several schools, senior centers, businesses and neighborhood residents. But right now, the street lacks critical pedestrian infrastructure to keep New Yorkers safe. The residents of Morningside Heights and Harlem deserve the same street safety upgrades -- like road diets and shortened pedestrian crossings -- that have already been implemented elsewhere in the city.
