  • Drumming thru Trauma

    Families for Safe Streets Injury and Loss Support Community.  Have you been injured or lost a loved one in an traffic crash (recently or long ago)?  Did you know that drumming can reduce tension, stress and anxiety?  Some say it can even help control chronic pain and boost the immune system!  Join us for this hands-on workshop where together we will explore drumming as a therapeutic tool for personal transformation, community building and joy!  No music or drumming experience necessary.

  • Picnic in the Park

    Families for Safe Streets Injury and Loss Support Community.  Have you been injured or lost a family member in a crash?  If so, you surely know that life's not always a picnic.  All the more reason for us to come together as a community .... and have a summer picnic!  We'll meet in a NYC Park (TBD), surrounded by nature's wonder.  Bring your blankets, sheets, chairs, food, drinks, family, games and more - or just bring yourself!

    Families for Safe Streets Injury Support Community.  Have you been injured in a traffic crash?  Some days feel great and others not so much?  Join us for a social evening with other crash survivors coupled by an experiential workshop where Mother Nature will nurture us with her many gifts.  We will explore the power of nature and mindfulness for enhancing our self care practices.

    Families for Safe Streets Loss Support Community.  Have you lost a loved one in a traffic crash?  Whether you're someone who loves to dance or can't can't stand the thought of busting a move in front of others, this workshop is for you!  Join us for an opportunity to meet and chat with others who have also experienced the loss of a loved one, recently and long ago.  Together we'll explore the benefits of movement as a holistic approach to healing, based on the theory that mind, body, and spirit are inseparable and interconnected. No experience necessary.
