Ride East New York!

Tour de Staten Island
This scenic ride guides over 1,000 cyclists through the borough's most breathtaking and lesser-known landscapes.
Both the 35 and 50 mile routes explore Staten Island's gems and observe striking oceanfront views of the Verrazano-Narrows Bridge and New York Harbor. The ride culminates in a finish festival with food, drinks and fun activities.

Half Century Ride

Get together with your friends to bike the boroughs, ride along iconic TA wins, and celebrate 50 years of advocacy with a Finish Festival at Industry City in Sunset Park, Brooklyn on Sunday, September 10.
Brooklyn Summer Streets TA Family Bike Ride
Meet outside 10 Grand Army Plaza (on Eastern Parkway side)
Celebrate Brooklyn's first-ever Summer Streets with us! Eastern Parkway will be car-free from Grand Army Plaza to Buffalo Ave on Saturday, August 26. The Transportation Alternatives Brooklyn Activist Committee (TABK) will lead a bike ride to celebrate Brooklyn Summer Streets. All are welcome, but the pace and route (less than five miles) will be particularly family-friendly.Limited Citi Bikes are available for free (16 years old and up) upon advance request to Brooklyn@transalt.org.
Pedestrian Prom
Will you go to prom with us? Double-knot those shoes, strap on that helmet, load up that Metrocard, and make your way to a summer soiree in Williamsburg. We will celebrate some of our most fearless activists from all over the city and take a moment to gather and reflect on all that we have accomplished and the road still ahead. This event features our annual Activist of the Year Awards to celebrate change makers across the five boroughs!
Summer Streets Ride 2023 TA Bike Ride
DOT has further extended Summer Streets this year. We will be riding through Manhattan, starting uptown in Harlem next to the State Office Building at W 125th Street and rolling all the way down to the Brooklyn Bridge.
Along the route, we will highlight various campaigns that our TABxUP and TAMAC activist committees are currently working on (Central Harlem Bikeway, River to River and Fix Canal Street).

Join us on Thursday, July 13, for a rally in support of the full McGuinness Boulevard street safety redesign.
The MP3 Experiment with Improv Everywhere
The Mp3 Experiment is a participatory audio adventure where attendees use our smartphone app to listen to synchronized secret instructions in a public space via headphones.
The Mp3 Experiment Eighteen will take place on Saturday, June 24, at 3 p.m. in the Garment District in Manhattan. This event is free and open to all ages. Spread the word!
Community Bike Wash
Join us at the Park Slope Plaza for a free community bike wash from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
We’ll bring the cleaning supplies, all you have to bring is your bike (or scooter, skateboard, etc.).
Asif Rahman Way Co-Naming Ceremony
The NYC Council voted to co-name "Asif Rahman Way" to commemorate Asif's life and legacy, including his mother Lizi's years of advocacy for a safer Queens Boulevard. We will gather with Asif's family, friends, and Council Member Shekar Krishnan to unveil the new sign.
